ActionSA leader, Herman Mashaba has criticised the government for hiring Cuban engineers to fix local infrastructure problems.
On Tuesday, 20 April 2021, Herman Mashaba took to Twitter to oppose the government’s decision to import Cuban engineers to solve the country’s infrastructure problems.
The ActionSA leader explained that “South Africa has some of the best engineers in the world who graduate from South African-funded universities. Many, as a result of economic mismanagement and the impact of the lockdown, are sitting at home unemployed.”
Mashaba further called upon unemployed South African engineers to register with ActionSA. He also added that he will open an online site and collect a list to present to the government to demand that South African engineers be immediately employed.
“The South African Government must end its ridiculous pattern of assisting nations around the world when it is failing in the most fundamental manner, the South African people,” said Mashaba.
