Herman Mashaba has joined the scores of people who are calling for President Cyril Ramaphosa to prioritise the country over the ANC.
Herman Mashaba took to Twitter on Thursday, 6 May 2021, to comment on the hybrid parliamentary session that was held the day. Mashaba was not part of the session as ActionSA has yet to win any seats in Parliament, given that it has been less than a year since its inception.
Mashaba first stated that President Cyril Ramaphosa looked tired. Moreover, he claimed to empathise with Ramaphosa and the pressures he is under. Thereafter, Mashaba decided to go for the jugular by calling for the president to address his suspension as the African National Congress’ (ANC) President, per suspended Secretary-General, Ace Magashule’s request.
Lastly, Mashaba asked for Ramaphosa to prioritise South Africans over his allegiance to the ANC and its factional associations. The narrative has been purported by the continuous public displays of factional fights within the ruling party, which have taken precedence over matters such as the poor vaccine rollout and the current socio-economic landscape of the country.
See the post below.
You can see he hasn’t had a decent night’s sleep in a while.
But please Mr President, convene a Family Meeting & clear the air regarding your suspension.
You’re the President of SA first & the ANC second. pic.twitter.com/3StDbWBjBR
