Herman Mashaba has called out the DA for an alleged attack in a radio advert that aired, suggesting that JHB polling placed ActionSA at one percent.
Leader of ActionSA, Herman Mashaba issued a statement on Wednesday, 13 October 2021, in response to what the party believes is an attack launched by the Democratic Alliance (DA) against it. He stated that the party was not surprised to learn of an alleged radio advert attacking ActionSA.
The ad, which is said to have been featured on Radio 702, portrayed a voter expressing their doubt over voting for Herman Mashaba because of the Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) involvement in the coalition in Johannesburg, land invasions and polling which places ActionSA at one percent. Mashaba confidently stated that polling was actually placing ActionSA ahead of both the DA and the African National Congress (ANC) in Johannesburg, and that when Tshwane and Ekurhuleni’s polling emerges, he also suspects that it will say the same. He described the matter as a portrayal of the depths of the DA’s decline and how it has run out of credibility.

We are not surprised @Our_DA has launched an ad attacking ActionSA.
What this ad actually does is portray the depths of the DA’s decline.
It used to be a party that challenged the ANC. Now it's a party trying to minimise its decline by opposing others.https://t.co/FJ3IDyuZcB
