ActionSA leader, Herman Mashaba has called out the JHB City Mayor for his action of releasing a statement rejecting the announcements of blackouts by City Power as electioneering.
Leader of ActionSA, Herman Mashaba issued a statement on Monday, 25 October 2021, in which he called out the Johannesburg Mayor, Mpho Moerane, who is noted to have released a statement on Saturday purportedly rejecting the announcement of blackouts by City Power.
Mashaba stated that Johannesburg residents need to undoubtedly be clear on the fact that the African National Congress (ANC) will stop at nothing to place its electoral priorities over the provision of basic services. He stated that Moerane’s attempt to prevent the execution of blackouts needs to be understood against that background, calling it another desperate attempt to stave off the inevitable and vote ActionSA into power.
He also noted that the pattern of the ANC using basic services to save its doomed election campaign came on the back of many that preceded it. The party further promised that an ActionSA-led government would resolve the crisis.

Joburg’s place-holder Mayor is left with egg on his face.
This is what happens when your election promises don't match up with reality.
The only way to stop this nonsense is to cut the ANC's power on 01 November.https://t.co/x7HLEAuOlq
