Herman Mashaba, as part of his electoral campaign in Hammanskraal, is focusing on the water crisis that has not been fully addressed by the mayor yet.
Herman Mashaba took to Twitter on Sunday, 18 April 2021, to highlight the water crisis in Hammanskraal. Hammanskraal is the birthplace of the ActionSA leader, and it appears to be the area that the leader is canvassing for votes in ahead of the local by-elections.
Of late, Mashaba has been focusing on the ongoing water crisis in Hammanskraal as part of his campaign. As suggested by his post, the taps in the city reportedly pour out dirty and contaminated water that is not usable or drinkable. Therefore, Mashaba has lambasted the mayor of the city, Randall Williams, by highlighting his absence from ActionSA-organised community meetings to find a resolution to the water crisis.
Mashaba wrote, “Regrettably, the lack of response from the City of Tshwane is consistent with the absence of Randall Williams from the hearings yesterday and today.” The post also suggested that there is currently no plan to address the water crisis in Hammanskraal, therefore, the water issues are expected to continue for the foreseeable future.
