Mashaba and Ndlozi disagree on preferred socio-economic system

Herman Mashaba and Mbuyiseni Ndlozi hurled insults at one another on Twitter, as they disagreed on the preferred socio-economic system to govern the country.

ActionSA leader, Herman Mashaba and the Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) Mbuyiseni Ndlozi took to Twitter on Sunday, 21 February 2021, to hurl insults at one another. The exchange was sparked by Mashaba’s sentiments on the reasons for the high unemployment rate in the county. A commentator on Twitter suggested that the reason for the high unemployment rate is the education system only training people to be employees, without encouraging entrepreneurship in the youth.

Mashaba responded to the post, “Communists and socialists flourish when people are poor and uneducated. History has proven under Stalin and Mao. We don’t need further points of reference beyond this.”

Ndlozi then responded by claiming that Mashaba was not only lying, but also being ignorant for posting such a tweet. The exchange marks one of the first social media spats between the two recently. However, it is unsurprising, considering that when Mashaba called for opposition parties to work together to get the ruling party out of office, he did not extend an invitation to the EFF.
