Maps Maponyane advocates for Global Citizen action

Maps Maponyane has been selected as an advocate for the Mandela 100 Global Citizen Festival.

Actor and entrepreneur, Maps Maponyane has been selected by the Global Citizen Festival organisers to be an advocate for change. Maponyane took to social media on Tuesday to express gratitude at being chosen.

He wrote, “An honour to be chosen as an Advocate, amongst many other incredible advocates, for a movement that has already brought so much change. Let’s stand up and take action as Global Citizens and call on our leaders to do more. Let’s #BeTheGeneration to end extreme poverty. #GlobalCitizen. The Global Citizen Festival is a free and ticketless concert. Tickets are free in exchange for the performance of a few good deeds. The ticket process opened on 21 August 2018. Billed to perform at the concert are Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, Chris Martin, Ed Sheeran, Usher, Cassper Nyovest, D’Banj and Wizkid.
