Mampintsha announced the official release of the music video for his single ‘S’yabathandazela’ on Tuesday, 2 October 2018.
Mampintsha (real name Mandla Maphumulo) of Big Nuz fame, has released three solo singles for 2018.
One of his latest singles ‘S’yabathandazela’, which features Babes Wodumo, Campmasters and Lasoulmates, was released in late August.
For weeks Mampintsha has been teasing visuals from the music video shoot for the single. On Tuesday, 2 October, he excitedly announced the official release of the music video.
Now, the West Ink Records manager has surprised his fans by revealing that he will soon be releasing another music video, this time for his single ‘Impoko Mpoko’. On Wednesday, 3 October, he shared a series of still images from the upcoming video, writing, “Impoko Mpoko video is ready…”.
From Mampintsha’s posts, the music video is seemingly set in a school, and will see him and Babes Wodumo play the roles of high school students. Interestingly, in the music video for their collaborated single, ‘Amaketanga’, released on 9 September 2018, the Gqom artists employed child actors to play much younger versions of themselves.
