Mamelodi Sundowns had a training session in Tshwane during the early hours of this morning, after traveling from an Absa Premiership match in Polokwane.
Defending Absa Premiership league champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, showed their extreme work ethic last night when they played an Absa Premiership game from 19h30 to 21h15 in Polokwane, before travelling back to Tshwane to have a training session at 03h00 in the morning.
The club tweeted a photo of their players sweating it out and on all fours under the lights of their Chloorkop training base.
The image was simply captioned “Train now, live the rest of your life a champion! 3am training sessions at Chloorkop! #Sundowns.”
The club’s highly outspoken coach, Pitso Mosimane, known for being a highly demanding and fierce hard worker, has led Sundowns to domestic domination since joining on the 2nd of December 2012.
The reigning PSL Coach of the Season and former Bafana Bafana coach recently expressed guilt on working too hard at the expense of spending time with this wife and daughters.
Since 2013, the team known as the Brazilians, Masandawana and Ka Bo Yellow have won an extraordinary seven trophies: 2013-14 Absa Premiership, 2014-15 Nedbank Cup, 2015-16 Telkom Knockout, 2015-16 Absa Premiership, 2015-16 CAF Champions League, 2016-17 CAF Super Cup and the 2017-18 Absa Premiership titles.
This morning’s suggestive training session implies Sundowns are eager to claim glory from the total of seven cups that are still up for grabs in the new 2018-19 season.
