The EFF has released a statement announcing the upcoming media address by Julius Malema, with no clear agenda set out for the first EFF press conference of the year.
The Commander-In-Chief (CIC) of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema released a statement on Tuesday, 12 January 2021, to announce the party’s upcoming media briefing. The media briefing will see the CIC providing his first address to the media in 2021.
The EFF has been in the headlines these past couple of weeks for its stance on the open border policy, especially for neighbouring countries like Zimbabwe. The matter remains contentious, particularly because of the assumed foreign nationals camping at the Beitbridge Border, looking to gain access into South Africa.
Another matter that is expected to be addressed by Malema is the party’s apparent silence on the COVID-19 vaccine. With the matter dominating headlines and various political parties and movements sharing their views, the EFF has been noticeably quiet.
The media address is set to take place on Thursday, 14 January 2021, and will start at 12:00. Members of the media are requested to submit their queries on the party’s WhatsApp group, and the media briefing will be broadcast on the EFF’s social media platforms.
