Malema endorses COVID-19 vaccine
Julius Malema has made his stance clear on the COVID-19 vaccine, as he has endorsed it and dismissed the various conspiracy theories that are doing the rounds.
The Commander-In-Chief (CIC) of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema, on Thursday, 14 January 2021, was quoted as endorsing the COVID-19 vaccine. Malema made his and, in extension, the party’s stance clear on the use of a vaccine during the EFF’s first press conference of the year.
Malema was quoted as saying, “We condemn all unscientific and nonsensical conspiracy theories that seek to suggest vaccines are part of an agenda for population control.” He added, “Vaccines are therefore an inevitable and necessary intervention in defeating COVID-19.”
During the press conference, Malema elaborated on his stance on the vaccine. One poignant matter that he highlighted was the irrational fear of the vaccine, especially as South Africa is already westernised.
Moreover, Malema rubbished the suggestion that the vaccine is meant to only harm Black Africans. He also highlighted that the vaccine would predominantly be administered by people of colour, therefore, they would be the first to identify any questionable intentions.

MALEMA: It is not only unscientific but illogical, as a majority of the population consumes various forms of Western medicine without any fear of a depopulation agenda. #EFFPresser
