Wednesday night’s episode of Makoti saw Zandile and Noncedo finally confront one another about their relationships with Siya, leading to a verbal altercation.
The latest episode of SABC 1’s Makoti, which aired on Wednesday, 25 September 2019, saw Zandile confronting Noncedo about her relationship with her husband, Siya. In an attempt to prove that their relationship is meaningful, Noncedo engaged in a verbal altercation with Zandile, as they both fought for their place next to Siya. The episode was described, “Zandile and Noncedo finally have their square off, while Judith plays on Lilitha’s insecurity. Mo’s ego gets the better of him and Lawrence’s stubbornness could be fatal.”
Viewers weighed in on Noncedo’s interference in Zandile and Siya’s marriage, with many stating that she needs to respect their relationship. Joy Zelda commented, “Why does the pastor always allow Noncedo to ruin his life and moments with his wife?! Noncedo is a wolf who knows exactly how to get his attention.” Colin Magaba also tweeted, “Zandile needs to understand that all couples go through a rough patch at some point. She must not give up so easy.”
Makoti follows Lilitha’s journey of trying to fit in with her new family, whilst handling her overbearing mother-in-law and inquisitive extended family. The storyline explores the different dynamics of a family and focuses on the stereotypical relationship between a daughter-in-law and mother-in-law, whilst incorporating comedy and drama.
