Mmusi Maimane took to Twitter to suggest that all former presidents of the country should appear before the Zondo Commission, as well as President Cyril Ramaphosa.
One South Africa Movement’s (OSA) Chief Activist, Mmusi Maimane took to Twitter on Tuesday, 2 February 2021, to suggest that all former South African presidents should appear before the Zondo State Capture Commission. The post comes in light of the topical story of former president, Jacob Zuma allegedly digging in his feet about his appearance before the commission, despite being ordered to by the Constitutional Court.
Moreover, besides Zuma, President Cyril Ramaphosa was also recently implicated at the commission. However, as it has been explained, the commission has a certain focus and cannot widen it based on implications. Therefore, in asking for every former and the sitting president to appear before the commission, Maimane is looking to have every president account for their tenure as the first citizen.
See the post below.
All former presidents must appear before the state capture commission.
The president must also appear before the state capture commission.
