Magashule to lead ANC’s Free State by-elections mobilisation campaign
The ANC has announced that Ace Magashule will lead its Free State by-elections campaign trail, despite the controversy surrounding his alleged corrupt dealings in the province.
The African National Congress (ANC) took to Twitter on Tuesday, 27 October 2020, to share a promotional poster for the upcoming by-elections mobilisation campaign. For the better part of the past few months, the ruling party has been deploying its National Executive Committee (NEC) members to canvass for support for the 2021 by-elections.
The latest poster revealed that its Secretary-General (SG), Ace Magashule will lead the officials and volunteers heading to Botshabelo, Mangaung. The Free State community proceedings were scheduled to start at 09:00 at Ward 28 today, 28 October 2020.
The decision to deploy Magashule is unexpected, considering Magashule’s alleged corrupt dealings in the Free State. Despite the continued speculation over the matter, Magashule is expected to be welcomed by those who supported him during his tenure as the Premier of the Free State province.
