Carl Niehaus has shared the controversial open letter by suspended ANC Secretary-General, Ace Magashule, addressed to former president, Thabo Mbeki, noting that Mbeki’s leadership was just as flawed.
On Tuesday, 15 June 2021, MKMVA Spokesperson, Carl Niehaus shared an open letter written by Ace Magashule to former president, Thabo Mbeki, related to comments made on Magashule’s fitness for office as the Premier of the Free State back in 2007. Mbeki had made the comments whilst addressing the corruption case against Magashule and his suspensions.
In his letter to Mbeki, Magashule stated that he can no longer remain silent on the former president’s efforts to insult him, in the name of proving that he was “right about Ace.” Magashule noted that Mbeki used his Eastern Cape address to gloat about him.
Magashule went on to detail the supposed flaws in Mbeki’s leadership when he was the president of the ANC. He stated that Mbeki needs to take responsibility for his many flaws before trying to vilify other members of the ANC, as he himself is not perfect either.
