The season premiere of Madam and Mercy has received rave reviews from viewers, who were surprised to see the mother-daughter pair showing so much of their personal lives.
The season premiere of Mzansi Magic’s Madam and Mercy, which aired on Wednesday, 8 April 2020, saw Evodia and Mercy Mogase introducing viewers to all the new members of their family. Princess, Evodia’s youngest daughter, made her first on-camera appearance, along with Evodia’s partner, affectionately known to all as Baby. Evodia and Madam were also seen juggling the roles of mother and sister to Princess, whilst working together to teach her the values that they believe in.
The first episode showed the progression of Evodia and Baby’s relationship, with Evodia consulting her family about lobola negotiations. Mercy also gave viewers a glimpse of her relationship, however, she kept her partner’s face censored throughout. Viewers were pleased to see the pair revealing so much about their personal lives, which was not the case when they featured on The Real Housewives of Johannesburg.
