Celebrity cook Lorna Maseko found that she had something unexpected in common with her Uber driver on Wednesday, 5 September 2018.
Television personality Lorna Maseko is well known for her bubbly personality. She showed off this eclectic energy on Wednesday, when she joined the Uber Front Seat Challenge and got to know more about her Uber driver.
Maseko shared video updates of her Uber ride on Wednesday afternoon. She began, writing, “I wanted to get to know my driver a little better, so I took the #UberFrontSeatChallenge …. let’s see how it’s goes😉 @Uber_RSA.” Then as she awaited her driver, she tweeted, “This should be fun….. I’m actually quite excited … #UberFrontSeatChallenge @Uber_RSA.”
Maseko then boarded the vehicle, making sure to sit up front alongside the driver. She got to chatting with the man, named Mashudu, about his hobbies. He listed soccer and cooking as his pass times. Maseko then excitedly questioned him on his cooking style and got him talking about his late father who had been a chef.
During the ride, Maseko tweeted, “That is so cool, Mashudu enjoys cooking and his father was a chef….. amazing 😝 #UberFrontSeatChallenge @Uber_RSA.” She ended off her journey, safely delivered to Morningside shortly afterwards. She wrote of the experience, “This was so eye opening & fun… & It’s been great to know my Uber driver and more after this ride actually. You’d be fascinated at the stories and what cool people they are… #UberFrontSeatChallenge @Uber_RSA.”
