The annual Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees (KKNK) festival will rock the country for an entire week in March and April 2018.
The annual street festival Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees (Afrikaans for Little Karoo National Arts Festival and usually abbreviated to KKNK) is an Afrikaans language arts festival hosted by the Karoo town of Oudtshoorn, Western Cape Province.
The event is officially recognised by the South African government as a national arts festival.
The seven-day festival will feature art galleries exhibiting the work of numerous local artists, ranging from sculptures to paintings and drawings; dancing performances, dramatic interpretations, comedic pieces, kids’ entertainment and so much more.
There will also be stalls of clothing and jewelry, plenty of excellent food and wine.
This year’s KKNK programme includes shows such as: #OMGV Seriaas?!, Crafty Kids, Afrika my verlange/Afrique mon désir, Innie selle, Die Dans van die Watermeid, State Fracture, Dowwe Wicus En Dolla van der Merwe, Manne, Gif/Poison/Ityhefu My boetie is ‘n danser, and so much more.
The KKNK will take place from Thursday, 29 March to Wednesday, 4 April 2018.
