On Friday, 18 May 2018 Political Analysis South Africa’s Thando Maeko spoke to former DA member at the Eastern Cape provincial legislature, Veliswa Mvenya.
Mvenya announced her resignation from the Democratic Alliance (DA) earlier today, 18 May 2018. She says she would like to take a break from politics. Mvenya also says there is a possibility of her returning to the political arena, but she would not rejoin the DA.
“I am taking a break from politics. I just want to refresh. I’m not going to disappear,” she said.
