On Friday, 22 June 2018 Political Analysis South Africa spoke to Nqaba Bhanga, who is the Democratic Alliance (DA) provincial leader in the Eastern Cape.
Bhanga says, he is shocked by accusations by former DA Eastern Cape MPL, Veliswa Mvenya that Nelson Mandela Bay mayor Athol Trolip is in control of the party in the province.
During an interview on Umhlobo Wenene FM this morning, Mvenya cited Trollip as being the reason behind her resignation from the party. Bhanga has slammed these accusations by Mvenya, saying that she is trying to create a wrong impression of the race relations in the DA.
“I think Veliswa’s accusations are unfounded and she’s trying to create the impression that as black people in the party we are not capable, and we do not have a voice,” Bhanga said.
