[LISTEN] BLF appeals for votes, says it will continue with RET

On Tuesday, 22 May 2018 Political Analysis South Africa’s Thando Maeko spoke to Zanele Lwana who is the Deputy President of BLF.

Lwana says Black First Land First (BLF) will be championing Radical Economic Transformation (RET), which was introduced by former president, Jacob Zuma. She adds that President Cyril Ramaphosa has abandoned RET and has instead chosen to continue with the status quo.

“Inside the ANC there are people who want Radical Economic Transformation but Ramaphosa as their leader is not going to implement Radical Economic Transformation. Ramaphosa tells us about the new dawn, and the new dawn speaks into him serving the interests to retain the status quo and serving the interest of Johann Rupert and white monopoly capital in the country,” she said.
