The teenager who lost his musician father to suicide last month, has also lost his mother on Monday, 26 November 2018.
The 13-year-old son of Lerato Khanye and HHP has been left orphaned after his mother, Khanye died at a Johannesburg hospital on the morning of Monday, 26 November 2018.
Leano Tsambo lost his father, Jabulani “HPP” Tsambo to suicide on the Wednesday 24 October 2018. Just over a month later, family spokesperson, Nkululeko Ncana, confirmed that Khanye had died of causes he could not yet confirm.
“I am not at liberty to disclose any further details. The family are still trying to deal with the sudden tragedy and are asking for privacy during this difficult time,” Ncana said to Channel24.
Leano’s situation has inspired heartfelt messages from South Africans on
Twitter. “Lerato Khanye’s death left me so afraid of leaving my kids behind. Having to go through life without me, I am their everything and it hits me so hard, man! I am scared,” wrote Khathu Luvhengo.
“My heart bleeds! How much pain can this child take! The son of the late rapper Jabulani “HHP” Tsambo‚ Leano has been dealt another tragic blow with the death of his mom Lerato Khanye, I truly pray he gets the support and care he needs. My deepest condolences to the family,” said Jackie Phamotse, another user.
