The Labour Department took to Twitter to endorse the use of the ESSA online platform for work and learning opportunities, especially in light of the current employment landscape.
The Department of Employment and Labour took to Twitter on Sunday, 24 January 2021, to endorse the use of the Employment Services of South Africa (ESSA) website. The website gives individuals and organisations that have registered on the platform access to work and learning opportunities. Considering the current landscape and limited employment opportunities, the online platform is another avenue to attempt to secure employment in these uncertain times.
The website offers two different registration options, allowing registration as either an individual or an organisation. As a registered individual, the website will circulate one’s curriculum vitae (CV) to employers or present it for relevant opportunities. The process for registered organisations is also relatively similar.
The statement further noted, “Currently, [the] organisation registration service is available to organisations registered with the Unemployment Insurance Fund. Extended registrations are in progress towards organisations that are not registered with the Unemployment Insurance Fund; please stay tuned for improvements.”
See the post below.
Good morning, Are you an individual that is looking for a learning or work opportunity?
The Employment Services of South Africa (ESSA) will help. Once you have registered and logged in you will be able to search our database for available positions. https://t.co/QfptFuZbax pic.twitter.com/1tt0qeDrJb— Department of Employment and Labour (@deptoflabour) January 24, 2021
