The Labour Department took to Twitter to confirm that it has made all departmental services forms available for download from its website for the public to access.
The Department of Employment and Labour took to Twitter on Thursday, 21 January 2021, to confirm that it has made all the departmental services documents available for download from its website. This forms part of the department’s continued efforts to discourage physical visits to labour centres.
The department has been announcing numerous temporary closures of labour centres of late, due to COVID-19 cases on the premises. The closure of the centres means that people then need to travel further to neighbouring centres to have their needs attended to.
With the departmental services documents now available for download online, it reduces the risk of overcrowding at centres and possible contamination. According to the post, Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) application forms are amongst those available online.
