The JSE Group has announced the JSE Enterprise Acceleration Programme, aimed at fast-tracking the growth of SA’s private companies and assisting SMEs with ways to attract some funding.
The Johannesburg Stock Exchange introduced the JSE Enterprise Acceleration Programme on Wednesday, 13 October 2021. The JSE believes that this will be a solution to fast-track the growth of South Africa’s private companies. It will also be providing a platform with an ecosystem of advisors, educational enablers and networks that will enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to attract the right levels of funding.
Some solutions that will be provided by the programme include an interactive environment of one-on-one mentoring for high impact and high growth companies, combined with masterclasses and webinars. This is to enable entrepreneurs to focus on two to three key KPI’s within the programme timeframe, addressing these with expert assistance.
The programme will also offer metrics focused on growth and individualised targets for each company, as well as strive to prepare the SMEs for capital raising as both listed or unlisted entities. SMEs looking to join will have to meet certain criteria.
