INFINITE Sunggyu released his first solo studio album ‘10 Stories’

On Monday, 26 February, Sunggyu (also known as Kim Sung-kyu, or 김성규 in Korean), the leader and main vocalist of South Korean boy band INFINITE, released his first solo studio album – ‘10 Stories’. The albums release adds another big event for K-pop fans, following the closing ceremony of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

At a publicity event held at Shinhan Fan Square in Seoul, Sunggyu said “I’m nervous, but at the same time I’m hopeful. I’ve worked on the album for a long time… I can’t wait to let fans listen to it. I’m curious how it will be received.”

The track ‘True Love’ from the new album ‘10 Stories’ was co-written by Nell’s Kim Jong Wan and Spaceboy, with lyrics also written by Kim Jong-wan. The music video features Sunggyu walking around the streets as he sings his true feelings.

Lately, Sunggyu has been active not just in music but in other forms of entertainment as well, such as musicals, reality shows and K-dramas on Korean TV. “I’ve been quite busy, doing musicals since last year and having returned with INFINITE this year. A good opportunity came along at a great timing, allowing me to take part in a theater production,” said Sunggyu, though he does not seem to mind being swamped with work: “That doesn’t mean I’ve burned out myself. I’m having fun.”
