Fashion stakes were high at the seventh annual Mbokodo Awards ceremony held on 24 August 2018.
The inaugural KwaZulu Natal Women’s Economic Empowerment Summit was held in collaboration with the seventh annual Mbokodo Awards ceremony at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli ICC on 24 and 25 August 2018. The Summit was hosted by the province during women’s month as a platform for women to engage on pertinent community issues by putting forth their own solutions to these problems.
The Mbokodo Awards ceremony, which is the brainchild of UNICEF SA Advocate, philanthropist and businesswoman Carol Bouwer, furthered the conversations on female empowerment as South African women in the arts sector were honoured for their contributions to the industry.
