Nganono stood behind Zakithi’s decision and Zithulele fretted that his secret would be uncovered by Shria
Friday’s episode of Imbewu: The Seed was tension filled as Zakithi faced the board of directors and Zithulele worked up a sweat over his credit card fraud.
Here is an overview of how the episode played out:
Zakithi shared a few family secrets with Buhle. She disclosed that their father had discouraged Nganono from becoming too close to her because she is a woman.
Zakithi then faced a surprise meeting with the Maluju board of directors. Mr Maharj questioned her decision to litigate against Green Co. He accused her of speculation and acting outside of the company’s best interests.
Mr Maharj then called Nganono and Shria into the meeting. While Shria voiced her discontent over Zakithi’s decisions, Nganono stood by his sister’s side.
Zithulele was ecstatic over the progress for the show. However, his joy was short lived as he was called into a finance meeting. He fretted over being caught out for overusing the company credit card. His worries were confirmed as Shria ordered him to hand over his card to Bangizwe.
Shria encouraged Nerupa to quit meddling in Mira’s love life and to let her relationship with Adam fizzle out on its own time.

Technical analysis
This episode was an expose of the show’s core theme – family ties. Nganono’s endorsement of Zakithi’s decision was a good show of their relationship and provides room for both characters to develop.
