Zakithi continued to ruffle feathers in the office and Zithulele got himself into further financial trouble
Last night’s episode of Imbewu: The Seed showed Zakithi exercising her power as acting CEO of Maluju Oil. Viewers are sure to be eagerly awaiting what will happen next.
Here is an overview of what happened:
Zakithi successfully booted Nganono and Shria out of the offices and into the general cubicles. She had to swallow her pride later however as she needed the two to bear witness in an important board meeting.
Zakithi also confronted Zithulele about his absence from the office. She first suggested that he resign, but then gave him a list of new duties more suited to his area of interest.
Nevertheless, Zithulele continued his plans for the Oswenka show. He invited DJ Ice to perform at the event. After learning that booking the DJ would cost R25 000 up front, Zithulele considered upping the cover charge for the event.
Mira and Adam were reconciled after their fight. Mira apologised to Nerupa for lying but said that she would continue to date Adam regardless of her mother’s feelings about him.
After the board meeting, Zakithi; Nganono and Shria realised that the company may be facing a law suit from Green Co.

Technical analysis
This episode of Imbewu: The Seed was dialogue heavy and as such felt very lengthy. The characters are not emotive and there was hardly any dramatic tension in the scenes. This kind of over-scripted story telling mode may not engage audiences for long. Writers of the show should perhaps rely less on exposition and more on conflict.

Here is a teaser for the next episode of Imbewu: The Seed on Wednesday, 30 May 2018:
MaZulu wishes for Nganono and Zakhiti to reconnect, as well as wishing it for herself and her daughter – but when she broaches it with Zakhiti, she is rebuffed.
Nirupa advises that Shria try and learn from Zakhiti rather than being intimidated by her. Zithulele decides to sell an expensive watch to cover his costs, but he and Thu struggle to get a fair price for it. Zithulele learns some of Thu’s story.
Zakithi gives an unsatisfactory apology to MaNdlovu and MaNdlovu rejects it entirely. Logan tells Zakithi that Green Co has a case and suggests that they settle with them, but in the meeting with Brent and his lawyer, Zakhiti shocks everyone.
