Mkhuleko Hlengwa has revealed that he is still in isolation after previously contracting COVID-19, and used his Twitter page to further comment on the matter.

The Inkatha Freedom Party’s Spokesperson, Mkhuleko Hlengwa took to Twitter on Tuesday, 19 January 2021, to reveal that he is currently self-isolating after previously contracting COVID-19. Hlengwa previously announced that he had contracted the virus on Thursday, 14 January 2021. Soon after, the IFP Spokesperson had to deal with the allegations of the passing of IFP leader, Mangosuthu Buthelezi. The IFP urgently released a statement explaining that despite having issues with his health, Buthelezi is still alive.

In his latest post detailing his own symptoms, Hlengwa tweeted, “COVID-19 is the pits, and the past two weeks have been k*k. This was just with varying degrees of mild symptoms, which, at times, turned for the worse. I cannot begin to imagine how much worse it must get to land one in hospital.”

Hlengwa ended the post by stating that he is recovering and getting better. In his initial tweet, he had expressed that in addition to the physical strain and pain, the mental anxiety that comes with the virus can also be burdensome.
