Hulamin has released a statement announcing the appointment of Meganathan “Mark” Gounder as the new CFO, which will take effect when the acting CFO steps down at the end of March.
Hulamin Limited released a statement on Thursday, 21 January 2021, detailing a change in the board of directors and the appointment of its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Meganathan “Mark” Gounder. Currently, Laren Farquharson is the acting CFO. Farquharson will be stepping down as an executive director on the board and the acting CFO on Wednesday, 31 March 2021.
The statement read, “Shareholders are further advised that Meganathan Gounder (Mark) has been appointed to the Board as an executive director and as the CFO, with effect from Thursday, 1 April 2021.”
In explaining the experience that Gounder brings with him, the company noted, “Mark is an experienced CA (SA) finance professional with over 25 years’ experience. Mark has held various senior finance roles within the Illovo Sugar Group which have involved extensive operational experience across Africa, as well as exposure to Europe, Asia and North America.”
