The annual Joburg Day 2018, organized by Huawei and 947, will take place in May, at the Johannesburg Botanical Garden in Emmarentia.
Joburg Day 2018 – the music festival designed for families – will take place on Saturday, 5 May, at the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens in Emmarentia. This year’s event is titled ‘Huawei Joburg Day in the Park’.
The annual music festival will see popular local acts taking to the stage, such as Mafikizolo, Black Motion, Lady Zamar, Samthing Soweto and Sun-El Musician, Matthew Mole, Desmond and the Tutus, Timo O.D.V, Goodluck and Mi Casa.
The first round of tickets are now sold out.
The second round of tickets are, however, still available at www.ticketpros.co.za, and cost R350 for adults, R1200 for groups of 4, while tickets for kiddies (3 to 12 years) cost R150.
Secure and free parking will be available at the venue.
Do note that you are not allowed to bring drugs, weapons or sharp objects, cooler box, own alcohol, gazebos and braais. However, you can bring cameras, blankets, picnic baskets and folding chairs. Food and refreshments will be sold at the venue as well.
On the day of the event, 5 May, the gates will open at 9 am and close at 8 pm, the first band will start performing at 10:30 am.
