Mayoral Candidate of Cape Town for the DA, Hill-Lewis, has pledged to clean up the city and called on the people to help by doing their part too.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) City of Cape Town Mayoral Candidate, Geordin Hill-Lewis issued a statement on Thursday, 21 October 2021, in which he pledged to clean up the City of Cape Town’s public spaces, streets and waterways. This is in light of the DA’s announcement of its seventh pledge to the people of the city.

Hill-Lewis emphasised the need to get Cape Town back into good shape, especially before it could welcome back the millions of tourists and the jobs to be created for the spring and summer and the upcoming festive season, following the impact of the pandemic. He also pledged to increase investment in basic services that keep the streets clean of litter, keeps parks safe and well-maintained, and keeping the waterways free of pollution and sewerage. He also called on the people of Cape Town to help in doing their part in the clean-up.
