Hetzner has launched beta version of an improved DNS management tool in its flagship konsoleH portal.
Hetzner South Africa announced on Tuesday, 27 March 2018, it has launched a new ‘Manage DNS’ tool. The tool is currently a beta version and offers a ”significantly simpler, more streamlined way to manage your DNS (Domain Name System) records.”
According to Hetzner, the new features of the ‘Manage DNS’ tool include templates, which will allow users to quickly and easily update your DNS records to point your email to Google Mail or Outlook for Office 365.
The company explains that when uploading a file containing zone records, it will be easier to edit multiple records, while downloading a copy of the zone records allows for easy DNS backup; History function (coming soon) will keep a record of previous changes and lets you easily compare record edits and roll back to a previous version of the DNS settings – making DNS changes less risky.
Hetzner is adamant that the new system is easier to navigate and with fewer clicks to create and edit your zone records, the new design has the ability to quickly filter or search zone records.
Customers currently have the choice to either try the new beta version with its added functionality or keep using the older DNS tool.
