Herron of the GOOD party has detailed his views on the collapse of the City of Cape Town under the rule of the DA, amid claims of neglected service delivery.
The GOOD party shared an opinion piece by its Cape Town Mayoral Candidate, Brett Herron on Monday, 18 October 2021. Herron shared his views on service delivery in the City of Cape Town, stating that service delivery in the Democratic Alliance (DA)-led city is collapsing.
Herron pointed out that in light of the city’s collapse, for the first time in these upcoming local government elections, the DA is being held to account for its delivery record. He believes that no number of clean audits can hide the fact that the Western Cape and Cape Town are under unprecedented strain, as the audits do not deliver services.
He also stressed that clean audits alone are not good enough, and that the people need both clean audits and service delivery. Herron detailed his various visits around city communities, noting that neglect has been worsened by COVID-19.
