Game South Africa commits to high standard of cleanliness and price freeze on essential goods
National retailer, Game Stores South Africa, has committed to providing essential goods at a fixed price throughout the lockdown, whilst ensuring that it adheres to the hygiene regulations.
Game stores throughout the country have prioritized the cleanliness of the essential products offered to the public during the 21-day lockdown period. The chain store has confirmed that it will be operating throughout the lockdown period, between 09:00 and 17:00, further stating that it has taken cautionary measures in providing a hygienic environment to the customers.
Game stated, “Game has always had various measures in place to maintain a clean and healthy environment in our 150 stores across the African continent. We have now ramped up these measures even further.” The measures taken include; increasing the frequency at its high touch point surfaces and trolleys are cleaned, providing customers with hand sanitisers upon entry and exit and throughout the store, and intensifying staff awareness of personal preventative measures to protect theirs and the customers’ health.
The stores have adhered to the 21-day lockdown regulations by only offering essential goods to customers. Game has also committed to securing the price of each item throughout the period, to ensure that there is no price increase due to an increase in demand.
