Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Mogakolodi Ngele is believed to be seeking an exit from the club during the January transfer window in 2019.
Ngele has been nowhere near Sundowns’ coach Pitso Mosimane’s matchday squads and has been demoted to train with the development squad away from the first team.
Last season the Botswana international spent the second half of the campaign on loan at SuperSport United, where he made eight appearances with a return on one goal and one assist, but his stay was not extended with the Pretoria neighbours.
Ngele also played 35 minutes in Botswana’s 1-0 loss to Angola in the 2019 AFCON Qualifier in Luanda earlier this month.
After making his name at Platinum Stars in his early football days, the 27-year-old was signed by Downs in 2015 but has made virtually no impact at establishing himself in the first team.
According to a report from one of the leading soccer publications, the player is keen to find a new club in the January transfer window.
The publication said: “Sundowns midfielder Ngele will be looking to make a move when the January transfer window opens.”
“This will no doubt give the player confidence and, as was the case last season, he will be determined to make a move in January, even if it means going out on loan for a fourth time to get that feeling of playing again.”
Sundowns will be back in competitive action on Wednesday, 3 October 2018, when they face Bloemfontein Celtic at the Dr Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein.
