FF Plus believes it is unacceptable that a second explosion occurred at Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Plant
The FF Plus has called it unacceptable that a second explosion has taken place at the Rheinmetall Denel Munitions, with production having resumed without conclusions to the first explosion.
The Freedom Front Plus (FF plus) issued a statement on Monday, 1 November 2021, in response to a second explosion at Rheinmetall Denel Munitions plant near Cape Town. The party noted how this, having been the second explosion to occur in under three years, is a cause for concern and raises alarming questions on the operational safety and the continued production at the plant before the matter is properly investigated at all angles.
The FF Plus highlighted that the problem is that an investigation into the first explosion, which reportedly claimed the lives of eight in September 2018, has still not been concluded. The party also called it unacceptable that production resumed before any answers were found to the questions related to the explosion. Additionally, it believes that this is clear proof that this has put human lives at risk.
See the post below.
It is unacceptable that even though the 2018 explosion claimed lives, production was resumed before answers had been found to all the questions surrounding the previous blast as continuing with production put human lives at risk. https://t.co/Sy1MSGwWAX
