Emalahleni Labour Centre temporarily closed due to COVID-19 case
The Labour Department took to Twitter to confirm the temporary closure of the Emalahleni Labour Centre, citing a confirmed COVID-19 case as the reason for the closure.
The Department of Employment and Labour took to Twitter on Tuesday, 19 January 2021, to announce the temporary closure of one of its labour centres, due to a confirmed COVID-19 case. The labour centre was the only Mpumalanga-based one that reported a case on the day.
The Emalahleni Labour Centre announced its temporary closure towards the closing time on the day. The centre is believed to be the only one that is closed in the province, based on social media announcements. The labour centre is expected to reopen on Friday, 22 January 2021.
Those who need to physically visit a labour centre have been advised to visit the closest neighbouring centre in the interim.
