EFF welcomes two new MPs, Sinawo Tambo and Piaba Madokwe

The EFF has released a statement announcing its two new MPs, Sinawo Tambo and Piaba Madokwe, following the resignations of Fana Mokoena and Peter Keetse.

The Economic Freedom Fighters released a statement on Thursday, 22 October 2020, confirming that it has sworn in two new members of Parliament (MP). The two new EFF MPs are Sinawo Tambo and Piaba Madokwe.

The two have been sworn in following the resignations of Fana Mokoena and Peter Keetse. It is still unclear why the two have resigned, however, they are believed to only be stepping down from their responsibilities as MPs and not parting ways with the EFF as a whole.

In closing, the statement read, “The EFF is confident that both commissars will add to the quality of its parliamentary work and the advancement of the agenda of economic freedom through revolutionary parliamentarism, as reaffirmed by the EFF second NPA. The EFF Parliamentary Caucus will designate these commissars into parliamentary committees and [is] certain they will add maximum value.”
