The EFF’s Julius Malema addressed the media and public in a press conference that became very topical, mostly because he was very honest in his critique of the state.
On Thursday, 10 June 2021, Commander-in-Chief (CIC) of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema and his party invited the South African media to a press conference. The party addressed key issues affecting the country and the supposed incompetence and poor leadership of the ruling party, the ANC and President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The EFF’s CIC was very honest in his address on the key devastating issues facing the country at the moment. Among those issues was the growing socio-economic collapse that has been further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Malema stated that South Africa is slow in its vaccination rollout and is tolerant of corruption.
Malema has emphasised the need for the local government elections to be halted due to COVID-19 regulations. He expressed that the elections will not be free and fair if COVID-19 protocols need to be followed, as parties will not be able to campaign successfully for the elections.
