EFF highlights value of liberation movements and leaders
The EFF recently took to Twitter to highlight the value of liberation movements and leaders, further emphasising the role they have played in the current state of society.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) took to Twitter on Thursday, 21 January 2021, to share archived video footage of its Commander-In-Chief (CIC), Julius Malema’s sentiments on the significance of African liberation movements and leaders. In the videos, Malema acknowledged the role that liberation movements have played in emancipating African citizens in their countries, as well as the role of liberation leaders in these times.
Malema further emphasised the importance of knowing when to let go of the liberation movements, which subsequently became political parties and leaders. The sentiments he shared can be applied to various contexts, but his views have more significance locally because of the intention of the EFF.
Last week, the EFF pledged its support for then Ugandan presidential hopeful, Bobi Wine, who was the strongest opposition to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Malema echoed the same sentiments when referring to the ongoing political tug of war in Uganda as in the archived videos.

The parties who have helped in the liberation of the African masses have no right to abuse the very same masses.
