EFF forges ahead with Brackenfell protest action

Published on

The EFF has already started mobilising its members from the Western Cape, as it is set to forge ahead with the planned protest action in Brackenfell.

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) took to Twitter today, 20 November 2020, to begin mobilising its constituency. The party is set to embark on what it has labelled as strike action against racism, which was sparked by how Brackenfell community members retaliated at what was meant to be a peaceful protest.

Earlier in the month, the EFF embarked on a peaceful protest to Brackenfell High School over an alleged racism incident at the school. The peaceful protest action turned violent when community members allegedly retaliated.

The return of the party to the community is considered by some as a retaliation to the first incident. Therefore, even in its messaging and promotional visuals, the EFF has expressed readiness for any kind of opposition it may face. Brackenfell High School has been revealed as the first stop in the protest action, which is scheduled to begin at 10:00.
