DStv and Virgin Active partner up, offering viewers at-home workouts

DStv has announced that global gym-franchise, Virgin Active, will providing viewers with at-home workout, which will be broadcast on SuperSport Blitz.

In an official statement on Thursday, 16 April 2020, DStv announced that it would now be broadcasting at-home workouts with Virgin Active trainers, on SuperSport Blitz. The televised training sessions will be aired at 08:00 and 17:00 and will see professional personal trainers from the brand sharing tips and tricks on how to stay fit during the nationwide lockdown.

DStv added that, “People may not be able to get to a Virgin Active to train but they are coming right to you through DStv, giving you easy-to-follow workouts ranging from high intensity, that will make you sweat, to more mindful, restorative practice to feed your soul.”

The first episodes, which aired on Thursday, 16 April 2020, saw Ceri Hannan and Bongo Ntlokwana, showcasing a variety of mobility flow exercises, coupled with high intensity interval training which worked on stamina. Each workout is said to be designed to cater to any level of fitness, with the progression or regression of each movement demonstrated so that participants can work out according to their ability and fitness level.
