Dlamini says EFF is ready for elections regardless of ANC’s supposed incompetence
The Secretary-General of the EFF has addressed the media, affirming that the party is ready for the elections and will not be held back by the ANC’s supposedly incompetent program.
On Thursday, 2 September 2021, Secretary-General of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Marshall Dlamini told the media that the party has been trying to reason with the African National Congress (ANC) government to postpone the local government elections. This is following the EFF’s Central Command Team meeting.
Dlamini called the ruling party incompetent and conveyed that the EFF would not be played like a tennis ball by the ANC, as it failed to listen to the party when it put forth that the elections would not be free and fair. The Secretary-General further made it clear that the EFF is ready to go and would not be held back by the ANC. Dlamini also firmly stated that the EFF does not care that the ruling party has failed to register some of its candidates, calling it incompetent and stressing that it does not run according to the ANC’s competencies.
