Did Brendan Peyper tie the knot on Op my eish!?

While op my eish! does share some similarities with other popular dating reality franchises, the contestants do not get married at the end.

Op my eish!’s third season did not end with Brendan Peyper getting married. In fact, in true Op my eish! fashion, it did not even end with a ‘happily ever after’.

Did Brendan Peyper tie the knot on Op my eish!?

The kykNET dating show, Op my eish!, gives viewers an inside look into the dating lives of some of the most successful and famous celebrities in the country.

The third season of this popular reality show followed the dating exploits of the Afrikaans singer, Brendan Peyper, as he – with the help of the presenter and his wingman, Jo Black – went through a speed-dating marathon in order to determine which of the 16 single ladies he would most like to start a relationship with.

But though there are certainly elements of this show that may remind you of other dating competition franchises, like The Bachelor, The Ultimatum and more, this season did not end with Brendan walking down the aisle.

In fact (spoiler alert for the information to follow), it did not even end with Brendan in a new committed relationship.

Who did Brendan Peyper choose as the winner of Op my eish!?

If you have not watched the entire third season of Op my eish! just yet, now might be the perfect time to finish it as there will be some major spoilers ahead.

By the time that the last episode of Op my eish! rolled around, Brendan had narrowed his pool of potential partners down to three: Katja, Rachelle, and Janae.

And while Brendan’s family members (who were brought on in the last episode to help him make this important decision) had mixed feelings about who he should choose, Brendan ultimately chose Janae as the winner of season three of Op my eish!.

Is Brendan Peyper single?

Although we are pretty sure that there is not technically a rule that  the bachelor and the winner of Op my eish! have to be in a relationship when the season has ended – there is just a little twinge of frustration in the fact that Brendan and Janae have already decided to end their relationship so soon after this season.

According to this never-even-started couple, a number of factors contributed to their decision to call it quits, the biggest of which was the online backlash that they received once the news of their relationship went public.

The Op my eish! success rate

Unfortunately, Brendan and Janae are not the only Op my eish! couple who has not quite made it to the marriage stage.

And, at this point, the show boasts a 0% success rate, with both Neels van Jaarsveld (season 1) and Francois Jacobs (season 2) eventually calling it quits with their Op my eish! partners.
