Dave Chapelle will entertain South Africans after Sunday’s Global Citizen Festival

Dave Chapelle, who has won two Emmy awards for his work in television, will be performing in three South African cities including Johannesburg; this will be the comedian’s first time visiting an African country.

US Comedian, Dave Chapelle will have two shows in Johannesburg at the Teatro at Montecasino in Johannesburg, next month. Chapelle will perform on Wednesday, 5 December 2018 as well as on Thursday, 6 December 2018.

The performances will follow the Global Citizen Festival on Sunday, 2 December 2018 at the FNB Stadium where Chapelle will be one of the hosts.

The line-up includes fellow comedian Trevor Noah, supermodel Naomi Campbell, TV personality Nomzamo Mbatha and movie mogul Tyler Perry.

But Johannesburg is not the only city he’s visiting. The renowned funny man will also be making people laugh at the Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town on Tuesday, 27 November 2018.

He will then move on to perform at the Durban ICC on Tuesday, 4 December 2018 before returning to Johannesburg for the two-night show.

The shows, which were announced by Big Concerts on Tuesday, 2 October 2018, along with the Festival, will be Chapelle’s first ever experience on the continent of Africa. Fans of the comedian can purchase tickets on Computicket.
