Date My Family bachelor, Moremogolo has Twitter and Mzansi confused

Sunday’s episode of Date My Family had viewers debating over “gregarious animals” and second date high-fives.

Mzansi Magic’s premiere reality dating show, Date My Family, has caused quite a stir on social media.

The Sunday 8 April episode featured a character so ridiculous, fans of the show wondered if Mzansi Magic was playing a belated April Fool’s joke.

The bachelor for the week, Moremogolo, was likened to Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela as he both dodged questions and gave elaborate answers that no one could understand.

During his date with a family of a potential date-match, the bachelor explained that in his view men are like ‘departments’.

He went on to say that his potential match, Tebogo, would have her heart broken as he is likely to ‘branch out from the headquarters’.

Both the family and viewers were left astounded by the young man’s elaborate way of speaking.

But he didn’t stop there.

Moremogolo continued his antics throughout the episode. At one point while on a date with another family, he proceeded to spray whipped cream directly into his mouth from the cannister.

When asked what he does for a living, Moremogolo dodged the question by saying that he is not a person who plans ahead and that he is ‘a complicated person’.

He then called himself a ‘professional librarian’ but was reluctant to give a description of what he does daily.

At the end of the episode, his chosen match declined to go on a second date. Moremogolo responded by giving her a high-five.

Seeing that the episode was a Limpopo edition of Date my Family, viewers from the area quickly dismissed having anything to do with this outrageous character.

One viewer responded on Twittter, “On behalf of people from Limpopo. We would want to reassure you that we don’t know him and he’s defiantly not from Limpopo”.

Fans of the show are still debating on social media over Moremogolo’s wordiness.

Here are some of the outrageous anecdotes from the young man:

“Man is a gregarious animal”

“I associate people like us, men, as departments. At some point you are going to branch out, but still come back to the headquarters”.
