The DA will host a podcast episode to discuss the appointment of David Mabuza as the Head of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Vaccination, which will require him to oversee the rollout plan.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) took to Twitter on Wednesday, 20 January 2021, to share a post on the upcoming The Inside Track with Siviwe Gwarube podcast episode. As suggested by the title, the podcast is spearheaded by the DA’s Spokesperson, and features her in conversation with predominantly DA members of Parliament.
The latest episode will focus on the appointment of Deputy President of the Republic, David Mabuza as the Head of the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) on Vaccination. Mabuza has been tasked with overseeing the rollout and distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. Based on the posts promoting the upcoming podcast episode, it is speculated that the discussion will sway towards voicing out a lack of confidence in Mabuza’s capabilities.
According to the post, “In conversation with Alan Winde and Alex van der Heever on SA’s vaccine rollout this morning. Will also be responding to the bizarre news of DP Mabuza’s appointment as the Head of the IMC on the Vaccine and Section 59 inquiry on reported racial profiling by medical schemes. Tune in!”
The episode will be broadcast on the party’s social media platforms on Wednesday, 20 January 2021, at 11:00.

Ramaphosa has appointed DD Mabuza to oversee SA’s COVID vaccine rollout. Mabuza is simply incapable and unreliable.
