DA gets things done, according to Auditor-General of SA

Published on

The DA’s Shadow Minister of State Security, Dianne Kohler Barnard has taken a moment to share the party’s victory in running municipalities properly and efficiently.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) seems determined to prove to South Africans that it gets things done. On Wednesday, 23 June 2021, Dianne Kohler Barnard, Shadow Minister of State Security for the DA, celebrated its victory in reportedly claiming the top spot for the best-run municipalities in the Western Cape and the Midvaal.

A lot of the DA members celebrated the Auditor-General of South Africa’s report on the matter, which confirmed that the DA-run municipalities in both the Western Cape and the Midvaal were the best-run municipalities from the findings of the Municipal Audit Report Outcomes. The report revealed that the 22 African National Congress (ANC)-run municipalities could not account for R5.5 billion of municipal grant money they had received from the government.

The DA’s Shadow Minister of State Security celebrated by writing, “DA-run municipalities in the Western Cape and the Midvaal remain the best run in the country. This is according to the latest Auditor-General’s Audit report. Where the DA governs, we get things done. Money meant for the people is spent on the people through service delivery.”
